COMO Cocoa Island announced the promotion of Abdulla Wisam to Executive Assistant Manager Rooms effective 1st December 2024. That yet again marks high-profile leadership with a never-ceasing momentum and commitment toward improving excellence and resultant continued success in the resort.
Eminently notable recognition for spectacular contributions throughout 2024 is Wisam's promotion. Most importantly, he led on the island in the absence of both General Manager and Resident Manager. He is capable of 'holding the fort' while maintaining operational excellence; his capability has been key to the success of COMO Cocoa Island. Also, Wisam had been the driving force behind getting resort resort fantastic online reviews and had planned and executed two buyouts of an island hence, to get it above view, which was more than maintaining the highest QA scores in more than 94% performance.

Wisam comes with ten years of hospitality experience within the resorts of Maldives, having worked within some of the most iconic ones. He joins as a restaurant waiter in 2004, but his progression to management quickly happens, as does an even few resorts such as Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru, The St. Regis Maldives, and Raffles Maldives. Getting promoted as Front Office Manager for COMO Cocoa Island in 2021, his hard work pays off, and he graduates to become Director of Rooms. Wisam was the GM of COMO Cocoa Island since early 2024 as no GM had been appointed to the hotel at that time.
