Recent updates and magnificent renderings of the $218 million Al Mahra Maldives resort, which is scheduled to open its doors in 2025, have been released by FAM Holding Group. The development is anticipated to take two years to complete, with handover set for the second quarter of 2025. Construction is scheduled to start in August 2023.
The resort, which is named after Faisal Ali Mousa's 5-year-old daughter Mahra and denotes elegance and strength, is situated on the alluring island of Fonagaadhoo in the Laamu Atoll. The word "Mahra" means "stallion" in English, which reflects the resort's dedication to radiating grace and force. The Maldives property will be a sister hotel of Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates' famed Al Mahra Resort.
Even if it results in a minor delay in the project's opening, sustainability is at the heart of the Al Mahra Maldives initiative. According to Faisal Ali Mousa, chairman of FAM Holding Group, "We will need to obtain them from foreign vendors, resulting in a longer building timeframe, due to the lack of suitable materials in the Maldives. Consequently, it is predicted that the project will take two and a half years to complete.
Al Mahra Maldives will run on solar energy produced by FAM Ganz Green Energy, a division of FAM Holding, in keeping with their emphasis on sustainability. The resort will also use a cutting-edge desalination technique to ensure that the rejected salty water can be safely disposed of in the ocean without harming the marine ecosystem.
Along with the thrilling updates, gorgeous renderings were also made public, showcasing the resort's spectacular architecture and opulent amenities and capturing potential visitors' attention.
According to Faisal Ali Mousa, the Al Mahra Maldives project is still in its early phases, with only 5% of the apartments having been sold to investors. Nevertheless, excitement for this remarkable addition to the Maldivian hospitality market is building with the recent release of the stunning drawings.
