Alila Kothaifaru Maldives has promoted Frank Wackerhagen to be the resort's new Executive Chef. The new Executive Chef comes to the resort with more than 15 years of culinary excellence experience at some of the world's finest hotels and restaurants.
From previous roles for establishments such as Rosewood Bangkok and Grand Hyatt Singapore, where he demonstrated tremendous leadership with unwavering commitment toward quality, this chef brings incredible experience to the table; a strong background in fine dining sustainable practices would really fit Alila's vision to create memorable experiences that emphasize local culture and using fresh seasonal ingredients.
With his enthusiasm over the role, Chef Frank declared his intention to prepare dishes that would bring out the natural beauty of the Maldives and show respect for the rich heritage of culinary traditions of the region.

Frank will be Executive Chef and oversee all culinary operations in Alila Kothaifaru Maldives, led by a highly qualified team of chefs, offering the most amazing dining experiences reflective of the soul of the destination.
