The Amilla Maldives Resort and Residence and RTC (Royal Timeless & Challenging) have formed the ideal collaboration as their tennis and celebrity coaching service providers. With RTC as the new tennis partner at Amilla Maldives, guests can expect regular instruction from professional tennis players in addition to special events, matches, and masterclasses with well-known tennis professionals.
Two full-size floodlit jungle tennis courts are available in Amilla, allowing visitors to play during the coolest part of the day. Recently, the surfaces were treated to the same high standards as those used in the US Open.
RTC, the new owner of Amilla's Tennis Academy, is making sure they have something to offer for every visitor, regardless of skill level. They also feature private tennis lessons for adults and kids with a professional coach, where they can enhance their skills in a few short lessons or even choose to enrol in the prestigious RTC Certificate Program.
As part of the free weekly scheduled activities programme at Amilla Maldives, there is also informal Tennis Academy coaching for small groups for individuals who would like take things slowly. To accommodate each visitor's playing ability, advanced courses and workshops can also be scheduled.
Marcus Drien, Amilla's tennis director, will be in charge of all tennis-related activities. He is from Slovakia and has extensive teaching experience there as well as in the Maldives and other places.
