With the inauguration of Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort on 1st April 2023, Minor Hotels' Avani brand is poised to deliver casual luxury to the Baa Atoll's coastlines. The 176-key resort, which will be Minor's sixth property in the nation and be located on the naturally tropical island of Fares near the western tip of this well-known heart-shaped atoll, will solidify the company's position as a major player in the Indian Ocean location.
The new upmarket resort will debut with a series of alluring opening deals designed to upend the Baa Atoll's hospitality industry in response to the growing desire for affordable getaways without sacrificing quality.
From expansive three-bedroom over water villas that fan out across the island's turquoise bay to beach pool villas and four-bedroom beach pavilions, the newly constructed resort, which can be reached from Velana International Airport in 35 minutes, will unlock paradise with a variety of lodging options. Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort's two-, three-, and four-bedroom beach pavilions and two- and three-bedroom overwater villas were all specifically created to welcome group vacations and unforgettable multigenerational family stays. They mix solitude and connectedness through its varied design, providing areas for both unwinding and entertaining. With tribal-themed suites that open to private swimming pools and sun decks, guests can enjoy indoor-outdoor living while yet being only feet from the island's immaculate white sands and sparkling shoreline. A variety of distinctive cafés and restaurants, a water sports complex, an AvaniFit gym, and a modern AvaniSpa are all accessible to visitors along breezy, palm-lined paths. The AvaniKids and Teenagers Club will be buzzing with activity thanks to its regular programming and outdoor excursions.
Just 61 islands total, including Fares, have access to the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Baa Atoll's marine protected seas. The Hanifaru Bay, where visitors may see whale sharks and snorkel with manta rays, and the five islands landmark, a stunning series of ring-shaped islands, are both within a short distance from the resort. The resort provides visitors with access to all the wonders of the enthralling underwater world of the biosphere, including twelve distinct dive sites off the beach, a 220-meter house reef teeming with marine life, including turtles and dolphins, and the nearby Fares reef, which is 600 metres off the shore.
Seven restaurants will be available at Avani+ Fares in addition to a private beach and in-villa dining. In the hotel's main restaurant Ocean Terrace, the Skipjack poolside bar, as well as Charcoal, guests may enjoy Maldives and foreign cuisine. Although Tribe and Smuggler's Shack will provide sundowners and after-dark tipples with molecular cocktails and the greatest selection of rum in the Maldives, Hammock will provide grab-and-go munchies and kombuchas in the lobby. The resort's small farm will provide organic food, and neighbourhood fisherman will deliver the day's catch each day. The first kids-only restaurant in the Maldives will be open to young customers and provide wholesome, well-liked cuisine.
