Batik Air Introduces Exclusive Direct Route from Malaysia to the Maldives

Direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to the Maldives have been introduced by Batik Air, formerly known as MalindoAir. More South East Asian travelers can now travel on this direct route, which has a big impact on the nation's tourism industry. A warm greeting and water salute were given to the airline's first flight, which carried 121 passengers, at a special ceremony at Velana International Airport.

Concierge Group Maldives, the airline's GSA, will manage sales, reservations, and ticketing services in the Maldives.

Batik Air operates Boeing 737 aircraft with a seating capacity of 162 passengers for its operations in the Maldives, operating 6 weekly direct flights between Malaysia and the Maldives. With a 50-destination broad network that includes Malaysia, Thailand, and Australia, Batik Air's arrival into the Maldives market is anticipated to support the nation's expanding tourism sector.

Batik Air's new direct flights to Velana International Airport, along with those of other airlines like Flyness from Saudi Arabia and the upcoming Virgin Atlantic flights from the US, give tourists from all over the world more convenient ways to experience the Maldives' natural beauty and warm hospitality.
