Career Milestone Mohamed Asif’s Promotion in Maldives

Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru further promoted long-standing Mohamed Asif (Aswar) to Assistant Director of Engineering. The upgrade of Aswar to the leader's position from over two decades of tireless dedication and impressive contribution towards the engineering activities of the resorts as a demonstration of his dedication to excellence, sustainability, and innovation.

Aswar's professional experience at Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru and Dhawa Ihuru has been characterized by being the first to maintain the engineering infrastructure of the resorts running in top order and in pristine condition, optimizing operations, and maintaining green culture. His leadership has always had the impact of superior cost-saving measures, efficient infrastructure enhancement, and creative environmental options.

Aswar led the rebranding of Banyan Tree Vabbinfaru along the "Original Maldives" theme in 2024 to success. His experience made it easy to incorporate sustainable design elements into refurbishment within the property. Specifically, he effectively executed the design and construction of an associate restaurant with greater functionality and operational efficiency.

Aswar's green mindset in working was also reflected through his attempts to suggest and offer a state-of-the-art Sewage Treatment Plant (STP). It reduces wastage of water and increases the use of available material, which reflects his long-term orientation towards sustainability.

His excellent work and commitment were also reflected in the previous year when he was awarded the "Manager of the Year 2024" award as a tribute to his technical knowledge, analytical thought, and innovative thinking process.
