Guest Chef Shahfi Yusoff Unveils Exclusive 'Sea Tales' Culinary Journey at The St. Regis Maldives

A special seafood dining experience called "Stories of the Sea" has been unveiled by The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort exclusively for those staying there in October.

For just two nights, award-winning Kayuputi restaurant at The St. Regis Langkawi's guest chef Shahfi Yusoff will be serving guests at The St. Regis Maldives with his specially selected unique menu that highlights haute cuisine with an Asian influence and a local, exotic touch.

The menu, which has the theme "Stories of the Sea," combines Malaysian and international tastes with contemporary French culinary methods in a seafood-focused menu that features locally produced items from the Maldivian sea.

"My approach to food is straightforward. According to Chef Shahfi Yusoff, the secret to creating the best culinary experiences is to use fresh ingredients and simple cooking methods to bring out their inherent tastes.

Chef Shahfi created this menu to wow customers with his culinary prowess and was inspired by Bill Bensley's unique ocean fantasy design concept for Kayuputi. At The St. Regis Maldives, he is supported by a group of brilliant chefs who are each experts in a certain area of cooking. Together, they provide you an exceptional dining experience that includes specialties like the red snapper asam pedas risotto, umeboshi granita, and truffle ice cream with Oscietra caviar.
