The study found that there are two distinct spawning seasons in the region, lasting for eight months. The timing of spawning varies among different coral species, with some spawning near sunset and others later in the evening. Additionally, the spawning dates differ between Atolls, with corals in North Male Atoll spawning earlier than those in Baa Atoll.
