The Executive Sous Chef of the culinary staff at Oaga Art Resort has been named as Chef Ibrahim Zuhair (also known as Zuzu). With more than 15 years of experience in the food sector, Chef Zuhair has a specialisation in foreign cuisine and a zeal for developing mouthwatering new dishes.
Chef Zuhair will manage the resort's culinary staff and be in charge of menu planning, food preparation, and team management in his capacity as Executive Sous Chef. To make sure that the resort's culinary experiences continue to surpass visitors' expectations, he will collaborate closely with his team.
Beginning as a server at Veligandu Island Resort twenty years ago, Chef Zuhair gradually worked his way up the culinary ladder, honing his skills via exposure to cuisines from around the world. He has worked in famous institutions including Rangali Island, Soneva Jani, and Siyam World after earning his Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts Management. Incidentally, a private beach at Soneva Jani was given his name as Zuhair's beach during his tenure there. Here, he served delicious pop-up meals of regional Maldives specialties using only what he could catch or select.
Chef Zuhair exclaimed, "I am pleased about Oaga Art Resort and to build my idea of this lovely island paradise. "I am excited to improve the dining options at the resort with my brilliant staff, especially the theatrical dining at Samaasaa, which is a very distinctive experience in the Maldives. I also look forward to developing new and innovative culinary experiences for our guests.
The specialty restaurant Samaasaa, the resort's main restaurant Kaa Kada (street food stalls), Raa Baa, the main bar and pool, and Sobi Bar, the beer and gin garden are all places where guests of Oaga Art Resort can enjoy Chef Zuhair's creations, which highlight Maldivian flavours and incorporate international techniques.
Oaga Art Resort's Greatest All-Inclusive plan, which includes amenities like Creative Expression (art) classes, Take Notes (music) experiences, Thashibari In-Villa Dining to floating meal, options for excursions, motorised watersports, and many more, is ideal for Maldives lovers looking for an all-inclusive vacation.
Oaga Art Resort is located in North Malé Atoll, 45 minutes via speedboat from Malé International Airport. Oaga Art Resort's artistic and creative spaces offer an immersive experience curated by local and visiting artists, as well as Maldivian craftsmen. The resort is located on a small island with 60 villas with beach and over-water options, four dining establishments, and a spa inspired by traditional healing practises.
