A combined marketing campaign between Fiyavalhu Resort Maldives and one of the top tour operators, which provides a wide choice of excursions to more than 40 destinations globally, has come to an end. The "Exotic Mood" marketing campaign by Join Up got under way in December 2022 and ran through the end of February 2023. Ukraine, Moldova, and Kazakhstan were this campaign's primary target markets. Together with the Maldives, other travel hotspots including the UAE, Tanzania, Dominican Republic, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Seychelles, and Indonesia took part in this marketing campaign.
Participating in this campaign was primarily done to attract Russian tourists by promoting the integrated island resort's brand and key selling qualities. From January 10 to January 23, Fiyavalhu Resort Maldives held three Facebook live streaming events that included local language content. On the inhabited, tranquil island of Mandhoo in South Ari Atoll, the lives gave viewers the chance to discover this natural beauty surrounded by beautiful green foliage. The modest Maldives way of life and the island's exquisite surroundings were both taken into account in the resort's design.
The Fiyavalhu Resort Maldives also hosted a group FAM trip for the Join Up team as part of the marketing initiatives to enhance the brand's profile in the Russian market. The crew had the opportunity to experience the welcoming hospitality for which Fiyavalhu is renowned among tourists during their two-night stay. The Maldives Contracting / Commercial Manager at Join Up, Mr. El Shazly, emphasised the excellent quality of services and amenities offered to the agents from the meeting point at the Fiyavalhu Welcome till the departure while speaking about the stay at the resort. He also emphasised the amazing content the group was able to record while staying at the resort. The campaign came to an end with a lottery prize for a gratis stay where one may temporarily leave a Fiyavalhu, or footprint.
