With numerous island events, Hilton Maldives Amingiri Resort & Spa marks its one birthday.
When it opened on July 1, 2022, the 109 all-pool villa resort heralded the expansion of Hilton's award-winning flagship brand into one of the most sought-after locations in the world. It also brought a number of thoughtful features unique to the archipelago.
In the 2023 Travel & Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific, the resort was just named one of the Top 10 Resorts in the Maldives. The resort continues to welcome the next generation of travelers with upgraded experiences and exceptional Hilton hospitality.
The general manager, Gaurav Thakur, stated, "As we start our second year of business, we are determined to offering an even more remarkable overall experience at Hilton Maldives, where meaningful relationships are forged and enduring memories are built.
The Amingiri Birthday Party
On July 1st, 2023, Aura Pool Bar will host a lively pool party with a tropical theme complete with watermelon and citrus popsicles, huge inflatables, entertaining activities, and mermaids as part of the birthday celebration. The Aura's beachfront pool and ocean view serve as the resort's social hub, providing an exquisite setting for resident DJ Maryna's tunes.
Little vacationers enjoy access to a special kids' area in the pool and an evening party in the Krakengiri Kids' Club, which is loaded with activities. Along with serving popcorn and birthday cake, there will be a little magic show.
Adventuresome visitors can participate in the thrilling treasure hunt that follows and scour the island for hidden wealth.
The general manager is hosting cocktails to cap off an exciting afternoon. The rum-based cocktail Jumhooree Spice, which has been barrel-aged to perfection at the Cocktail Lab using a blend of local spices, tea, passionfruit, and coconut, will be featured by the team of renowned resident mixologists.
The after-party starts at 9:00 p.m. and has a fire show and guest DJs on the entertainment schedule.
The evening turndown service will include a gift of birthday pralines. These have flavors that were influenced by the specialties of each of the restaurants: smoky citrus from Beach Shack, hazelnut imperial from Habitat, vanilla and cheese from Origin, and green tea-infused white chocolate from Sip Tea Lounge.
All resort visitors will receive special discounts on particular salon services, watersports, food, and beverages during the event, which runs until July 15, as well as free photos during the perennially popular Try Mermaid and Try Scuba programs.
Visitors will also be able to view a number of installations created by prominent Maldivian artist Rappe, who keeps a studio on the island. These include a paper art gate and a comprehensive exhibition of carefully chosen works. The show, titled "Ehtherevari," emphasizes the delicate aspect of the marine ecology and gets its name from a Dhivehi term for the tranquil waters surrounded by surrounding reefs.
