Hulhule Island Hotel Celebrates the Beginning of Ramadan with Staff and Family Iftar Gatherings
Hulhule Island Hotel (HIH) marked the commencement of the Holy Month of Ramadan by hosting a series of special Iftar gatherings for its team members and their families during the first three days of the sacred month. The initiative brought together employees from Hulhule Island Hotel and its sister company, Maldives Inflight Catering (MIC), reinforcing a strong sense of unity, compassion, and shared values within the extended corporate family.
Rooted in the spirit of Ramadan—reflection, gratitude, and togetherness—the Iftar gatherings were thoughtfully organised to provide a warm and welcoming environment where colleagues could break their fast alongside their loved ones. The evenings served not only as a time for sharing meals, but also as an opportunity for meaningful connection, strengthening bonds between team members across departments and organisations.
Understanding the importance of inclusivity, HIH ensured that the celebrations were respectful and accommodating to all. In addition to the traditional Iftar arrangements, Taraweeh meals were made available for team members who were not observing the fast, allowing everyone to feel included and valued. This approach reflected the hotel’s commitment to creating a harmonious workplace culture that respects individual beliefs while honouring the significance of the Holy Month.
Speaking on the initiative, Ali Shakir, Group General Manager, highlighted the importance of such gatherings during Ramadan. “Ramadan is a time for reflection, gratitude, and unity. At our organisation, we firmly believe that our people are our greatest strength. Opening our doors to colleagues and their families for Iftar during the early days of Ramadan reflects our dedication to building a workplace culture founded on respect, inclusivity, and togetherness,” he said.
Hulhule Island Hotel continues to remain committed to nurturing a positive, supportive, and people-focused environment for its team members and extended corporate family. As the Holy Month progresses, the hotel remains dedicated to upholding the values of Ramadan while continuing to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences that reflect care, respect, and community.
