Hussain Afeef named chairman of Maldives Association of Tourism Industry
After serving as a long-standing member of the board at Maldivian Association of Tourism Industry (MATI), Mr Hussain Afeef has been appointed to fill the vacancy for the Chairman of MATI following the death of the previous holder of this position, Mr MU Maniku.
The decision to appoint Mr. Afeef was made at the 36th Annual General Meeting of MATI that took place on Sunday at Kurumba Maldives. As well as being a previous Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of MATI's Board of Directors and having worked in the Tourism industry for over 20 years, he brings a wealth of experience with him.
MATI is now able to say it is back on track with regards to representing and continuing the advocacy efforts for tourism in the Maldives.
