Inspired by Nature
The master plan for Zamani Islands draws motivation from the charming natural formation of the lagoon atolls. The intend concept takes cue from the wind, waves, and tidal current that form the islands, create a synergy between nature and the crowd of resort experiences. Sculpted by environmental background, the islands priorities maximum beach entrance and panoramic views, offering visitors an immersive relationship with the nearby lagoons and horizon.
Shared Values and Sustainable Vision
Killa Design’s participation in the Zamani Islands plan was propelled by a common vision with Atoll Estates – the formation of a highly sustainable lavishness resort powered totally by renewable energy. The architect, known for their capability in zero energy/water/waste ultra-luxury resorts such as Sherbara Resort in Saudi Arabia, were involved in materializing the client’s idea and setting new benchmark for eco-friendly luxury welcome in the Maldives and beyond.
Additional to the sustainability accruements, the owners required to create an inventive hospitality destination differentiate from other resorts through design and guest experience, which is at the center of Killa Designs’ approach to resorts.
Overcoming Challenges with Innovation
Shaun acknowledges the characteristic challenges of offshore resort structure, yet Killa Design boldly addresses them through innovative building technologies. Employ a modular construction method, the team ensure high quality and stability during the resort. Sustainability goals were meet throughout the use of regionally existing materials, include domestic timber, bamboo, and recycled aluminum, minimizing ecological impact and dropping the resort’s fixed carbon footprint.
