Jean-Louis Ripoche Assumes Role of General Manager at Dusit Thani Maldives

Khun Jean-Louis Ripoche has been named general manager of the Dusit Thani Maldives, effective October 1, 2023.

Khun Jean-Louis offers a wealth of knowledge to the organization with more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality sector, including 25 years in leadership roles at prestigious hotels and resorts across the world.

Khun Jean-Louis began his illustrious career in hospitality in 1982 as a Management Trainee at the Starwood-owned Le Meridien Abu Dhabi. Assuming senior positions at several Le Meridien hotels, including Le Meridien Boston, Le Meridien Kuwait, Le Meriden Phuket, Le Meridien Jakarta, Le Meridien Hotel & Tower Bangkok, and Le Meridien Khao Lak, he then went on to carve out a significant career with Starwood.

The Sheraton Tel Aviv Hotel & Towers in Tel Aviv, Israel; the Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa; the W Maldives Retreat & Spa; the Mövenpick Hotel and Casino Malabata in Tangier, Morocco; and the Cluster General Manager of the Kathmandu Marriott and Fairfield Kathmandu by Marriott in Nepal are among the other properties where Khun Jean-Louis has held the position of general manager.

He has continuously produced excellent results throughout his successful career, making significant contributions to the success of the hotels he has managed during operational, pre-opening, and new opening periods. His successes have constantly focused on increasing guest and employee happiness while boosting revenue growth.
