Jesper Soerensen named General Manager of SO/ Maldives by Ennismore

The brand-new resort SO/ Maldives, which opens in 2023, will have Jesper Soerensen as its general manager, according to Ennismore, a global lifestyle and leisure hospitality firm.

In addition to leading the entire resort strategy and directing the pre-opening of SO/ Maldives, which is scheduled to open in Q4 2023, Jesper will be in charge of bringing the SO/ brand's avant-garde design, fun luxury, and fashion to the Maldives.

Jesper has a distinguished history in the hospitality sector, having worked with some of the most prestigious, globally recognized, and rapidly expanding luxury companies in the world, including metropolitan hotels, beach resorts, and opulent private island resorts.

Jesper spent the previous three years as the General Manager of The Standard, Maldives before returning to SO/ Maldives. He had been staying at Six Senses Singapore before then. With Alan Yau at the Hakkasan Group, Jesper began his career in the food and beverage industry. He later joined Morgans Hotel Group at London's famed Sanderson and St. Martin's Lane Hotels. Later, he relocated to Miami, where for a while, he oversaw operations at the Shore Club.

Jesper is a great fit to head up the SO/ Maldives team because to his considerable experience in the hospitality sector and love of beach and opulent travel.
