Madifushi Private Island Appoints Omer Songur as New General Manager

Omer Songur, who was born in Turkey, has been named the new general manager of Madifushi Private Island. Omer has over 25 years of experience as a seasoned hospitality worker. He earned a bachelor's degree in hotel administration from the University of Ankara and finished Cornell University's hotel administration programme in the United States.

With Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Omer began his career in the hospitality sector in 1995. He then worked at Hilton International and cruise lines in a variety of managerial positions. He has experience managing hotels around the globe, including those in the USA, England, South Africa, Cyprus, and the CIS nations.

Omer is the new general manager of Madifushi Private Island, and he and his staff are committed to making rapid progress and establishing themselves as one of the most prestigious hotels in the Maldives. From August 2022, when he joined the hotel as the Pre-Opening Manager, he has served in this capacity. He will now serve as General Manager.
