In a paradise of palm trees, Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island invites visitors to appreciate the charm of the holiday season. This serene all-villa resort, a proud member of the Jumeirah Group, will be decorated in the spirit of Christmas and New Year from December 22, 2023, to January 7, 2024, delivering an amazing holiday retreat.
"We are genuinely thrilled to welcome guests to celebrate this magical season in our blissful island retreat," said Mohamed Ashraf, general manager of the resort. Your time with us will be extremely well spent thanks to the carefully chosen festive activities we've put together. Christmas and New Year's Eve, two of the most eagerly awaited occasions of the year, provide a sense of excitement as we host Gala Cocktail Parties and Dinners with delectable treats, a variety of live acts, and priceless memories. We invite you to join us for the "Nature's Symphony" New Years Party, which will turn our island into a tropical wonderland and end with a stunning fireworks display, to ring in 2024.
Holiday Family Joy
A variety of traditional holiday activities created for families to enjoy are used to commemorate the happy times spent together. Families are invited to come together and celebrate the joy of carols and delicious food at the beach's glittering Christmas tree lighting event. Discover their artistic side by decorating gingerbread, and watch as Santa Claus makes a big appearance on the resort's arrival jetty. Families can participate in the Olhahali Kite Festival, a beloved local tradition, on December 26, 2023, for an immersive taste of Maldivian culture. They can also explore nearby islands with knowledgeable Maldivian guides as part of the "Taste of Maldives" experience. A variety of masterclasses are available for guests to participate in, such as those on how to make ceviche, sushi, or pizza. Turtle or dolphin hunts, secluded sandbank retreats by yacht, and nurse shark snorkeling are just a few of the entertaining activities available above and below the water.
Delicious Foods to Enjoy
With the culinary choices of Jumeirah Maldives Olhahali Island, visitors may embark on a culinary journey and savor Indian Thali Nights, wine and cheese tastings, a champagne tasting alongside oysters in the lagoon, and chef's degustation feasts. A seaside supper is served on Boxing Day, while wine and dine events under the starry Maldivian sky light up the evenings. The resort provides a Chef's Table supper at its renowned Japanese-Peruvian restaurant, Kayto, which features Executive Chef Taylor Shearman's exquisite dishes for a special experience.
Embrace Creative Inspiration
This holiday season, the island's MURACA Art Studio, a whimsical area inspired by the mesmerizing coral reefs of the Maldives, will be open to visitors. For both adults and children, there are a variety of activities available, including seashell jewelry making and watercolour workshops. The resident artist at MURACA will provide instruction to tourists on how to make coconut shell candles, coffee canvases, tote bag fabric paintings, seashell Christmas ornaments, and expressive clay pottery art. Highlighting one-of-a-kind artworks, handcrafted treasures, and artisanal goods from local talents at the heart of the island, the local artisan's street market will take place on January 5, 2024.
Holistic & Wellness Retreat
The resort's renowned Talise Spa offers a variety of wellness and rejuvenation-focused activities, such as Sooryaast Yoga, beachside tennis, dance-fit aqua Zumba by the Shimmers pool, Tibetan singing bowls sound healing, family-friendly stretching courses, and Trataka Meditation.
