New Messi Chicken Sandwich Joins Hard Rock Cafe® Maldives and Hard Rock Hotel® Maldives Menu

Reuniting with global brand ambassador Lionel Messi, Hard Rock Cafe® Maldives, Hard Rock Hotel® Maldives, and Hard Rock International are introducing the Messi Chicken Sandwich, "Made For You by Leo Messi," a new menu item bearing his name. The new "Milanese style" Chicken Sandwich is perfectly timed to Messi's historic entry into Major League Soccer and, more importantly, South Florida, home of the iconic Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. It was inspired by one of the soccer legend's favorite Argentinean dishes from his youth. The Messi Chicken Sandwich is now available at participating Hard Rock Cafe locations and Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos via in-room dining worldwide, including Hard Rock Cafe® Maldives and Hard Rock Hotel® Maldives, allowing foodies, soccer, and sports fans from all over the world to experience a new level of greatness.

Lionel Messi, a well-known soccer star and global icon, stated, "I'm happy to introduce the flavors of my home country to the globe with the debut of my very own Chicken Sandwich, inspired by one of my favorite dishes, the Milanesa. "Hard Rock International has been the best partner in making this happen. I can't wait for my fans all over the world to experience one of my childhood favorites that still makes me feel at home, wherever I go in the world. Like any great teammate, Hard Rock has been with me through historic milestones.

The Messi Chicken Sandwich was created as a tribute to Messi's fondness of the traditional Argentine dish Milanese. This mouthwatering, crispy Milanese-style chicken breast with melted provolone cheese and a herb aioli is proof that greatness can take many different shapes. The Messi Chicken Sandwich is served on a toasted artisan baguette and is the epitome of portable deliciousness when paired with fresh tomatoes and arugula for a winning bite every time.

On July 15, Hard Rock Cafe® Maldives will celebrate the opening with a special event that includes a presentation of Alessio, the kitchen manager, a fashion show with Messi merchandise, and fun games.

Hard Rock International has unveiled a television ad for the campaign called "Something New is Cooking," which features Lionel Messi and is currently showing in local markets all around the world. The ad was directed by Marco Grandia and the Yes, We're Open agency. Fans may also get special welcome messages from Lionel Messi, an augmented reality experience with Messi and the Chicken Sandwich, Messi trivia games, online purchasing, and more by scanning a QR code.

After the "LIVE GREATNESS" campaign and the Messi Burger are introduced in March 2022, "Greatness Happens Here" marks the beginning of the second phase of Hard Rock International's association with Messi. In recognition of Messi's historic victory and new co-branded retail line, the Champion's Edition Messi Burger, which is a fan favorite, was released by the company in November 2022.
