As part of the celebration of PADI Women’s Dive Day that takes place on 18 July 2026, Coco Bodu Hithi welcomes certified women divers for a morning underwater, bringing together marine conservation and pleasure of discovering the ocean in one of the richest natural environments of the Maldives. Following the theme of this year’s event “Celebrate Community. Create Change.”, the Women of the Ocean Reef Clean-Up Dive event at the resort gives a chance to unite by the common love for the underwater world, while at the same time giving back to the environment. Organised specifically for the women divers, the reef clean-up dive will allow exploring the house reef of Coco Bodu Hithi while cleaning the coral reefs from debris.
The event takes place at Coco Dive, the resort’s PADI-certified dive center, where guests are invited to enjoy diving adventures in the beautiful underwater world of the Maldives. The experienced multilingual instructors of the dive center offer safe and unique underwater experiences for everyone who wants to start or continue the journey of discovering the Maldivian cuisine oceans. Within just a few minutes’ distance from the resort, divers have access to some of the most well-known dive spots, known for their vibrant corals and colorful marine life, such as hawksbill turtles, white-tip and grey reef sharks, eagle rays, barracuda, Napoleon fish, schools of blue-striped snappers, batfish, and fusiliers. Guests who want to experience their marine adventures can complete their certification even before coming to the resort via PADI eLearning, giving them more time to explore the Maldivian waters upon arrival at Coco Bodu Hithi.
