The top scuba diving training organisation in the world, PADI, has announced a new relationship with the 5* dive resort Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah in the Maldives. Together, they are launching a Tiger Shark Specialty Course, created especially for scuba divers who want to dive responsibly and securely with tiger sharks in the distinctive Fuvahmulah, Maldives, waters.
Owner of Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah Ahmed Inah personally created and wrote this course. It is based on Inah's years of experience scuba diving with sharks in Fuvahmulah and is intended to help divers share his enthusiasm for doing so in a manner that respects the sharks and the environment. Whether you are a novice or an expert diver, this course will give you the information and abilities you need to dive in Fuvahmulah ethically and securely with these magnificent creatures.
The Tiger Shark Specialty Course consists of two tiger shark training dives in addition to theory and an exam. It is solely offered by Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah and is meant to educate divers the fundamental safety procedures for diving with tiger sharks there.
Fuvahmulah, a single island atoll in the southern Maldives, is well-known for its diverse pelagic life, which includes a sizable population of resident tiger sharks. Oceanic Divers A PADI 5* diving centre, Fuvahmulah is run by local resident and PADI Instructor Ahmed Inah, together with a group of knowledgeable local guides.
The first goal at Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah is safety. With a maximum of 12 passengers per boat, they maintain a low guest to guide ratio of 1:4 to give their customers a safer and more individualised shark diving experience.
