For approximately 50 impoverished children and their carers from Fiyavathi, a state care facility located in Hulhumale for orphanage children, Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa conducted an Iftar giveback session. The celebration took place on Friday, April 7, 2023 at the Jalsaa Hall, and managers and staff from the resort were there.
The companions gave the children a hearty welcome and presented them with gifts as the ceremony got underway. The kids received a variety of traditional Ramadan treats, including biryani, kebabs, and different sweets, that were inspired by Maldives and Indian cuisines.
SERVE360: DOING GOOD IN EVERY DIRECTION
The company's 2025 environmental and social goals, which commit to having a good and lasting effect everywhere Marriott conducts business, are aligned with this project. "Here in the Maldives, we have a special chance to do more for our neighbourhood, not just by holding an annual iftar supper but also by making ongoing efforts. The youth development programme, in which we use our resources to provide education, training, and opportunities, is one of the causes near and dear to my heart. The facilities where the children and teens are housed were improved in part because to money we raised the previous year. There is a tonne of work that needs huge be done, and we are here and prepared to get to work. The resort's general manager is Mohamed El Aghoury.
The Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa has started a number of environmental projects, most recently cultivating a "waste zone" that has just received its first watermelon harvest. Paper straws, refillable glass bottles, and ceramic amenity holders were used in place of all plastic products, including bottles, straws, and toiletries. Since its opening in 2020, the resort has been a leader in scalable coral propagation initiatives, leading to the growth of over 20,000 corals.
