Aboobakuru School from G.Dh. Thinadhoo and ROBINSON Maldives have joined forces with the goal of giving their esteemed guests a unique opportunity to engage with the local community and partake in a wide range of traditional Maldivian activities. Visitors are given an authentic and immersive experience that truly highlights the depth of Maldivian culture during their time in the Maldives thanks to this collaboration.
Additionally, the goal of this cooperative effort is to foster a greater understanding of cultural heritage among the Aboobakuru School's pupils and faculty. It covers the upkeep, preservation, and passing on of cultural history to succeeding generations, highlighting its significance from a young age. By encouraging this teamwork, the importance of preserving the Maldivian cultural legacy is also brought to the fore.
The events are arranged every second Friday to ensure that the greatest number of visitors can partake in these culturally enriching opportunities. A significant number of people are able to participate in the wide variety of cultural arts and crafts on offer thanks to this intentional approach.
The regularly provided events, which highlight a variety of intriguing experiences, are periodically rotated to ensure a colorful tapestry of diversity. The manufacturing of coir rope (Roanu Veshun), embroidery work (Kasabu Viyun), products made from coconut shells, traditional teaching (Edhuruge), sharpening knives (Valhi hanulun), thatch weaving (Fangi vinun), palm leaf crafts (Fanun thakethi ufehdhun), and traditional dances are noteworthy examples.
