Sun Siyam Iru Veli Welcomes Celebrity Chef and Sky Sports Journalist Manuele Baiocchini This April

On April 22 to April 28, 2023, Italian journalist Manuele Baiocchini, host of Casa Baio on the Food Network in Italy, will visit Sun Siyam Iru Veli, Maldives, as part of the resorts' ongoing, exclusive celebrity chef residency.

Throughout his visit, Manuele will host a number of private dinner show culinary events where guests at Sun Siyam Iru Veli can indulge in a variety of speciality delicacies that he will have freshly prepared. Also, he will serve his creations at a special management cocktail on the sand where island foodies may savour his sophisticated yet uncomplicated Italian cuisine while taking in the sunset.

Among the featured meals are fruit salad and the catch of the day, pastry custard with tropical fruit and chocolate chips, and ravioli with lobster, cherry tomatoes, and buffalo mozzarella.

In addition to his enthusiasm for cooking, Manuele is an ardent sports writer for Sky Sports in Italy. During his visit, he will team up with island residents and visitors to play a few friendly football games between Sun Siyam Vilu Reef and Sun Siyam Iru Veli.

Manuele Baiocchini, who was born in 1982, has always been a hard-working young man who studies, delivers pizzas, plays football, and works on the radio. He pursued his goal of becoming a sports journalist after giving up his desire to play football. He had to travel a long way to get to Sky Sports, where he is now an essential member of the group and is obviously the product of genuine passion, curiosity, and effort. He started working for Sky in 2007, and over the years he has held a number of positions there, including editorial staff, correspondent and transfer market expert, sideline reporter during games, and interviewer/host following the games.

Manuele Baiocchini has a lifelong love affair with the kitchen.
