Sun Siyam Resorts Elevates Jiji Rajesh to Group Director of Revenue & Distributions

Jiji Rajesh has been promoted by Sun Siyam Resorts from Cluster Director of Revenue & Distribution to Group Director of Revenue & Distribution for all six of the company's properties in Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

Jiji, an Indian-born revenue specialist, has worked at Sun Siyam Resorts for more than nine years. She will continue to work to maximise revenue throughout the company's portfolio in her new position while also managing and leading the revenue management team to successfully implement revenue management strategies and procedures.

The direct business segment's growth from 3% revenue share in 2014 to an average of 42% revenue share in 2022 and 2023 is one of Jiji's most notable accomplishments during her tenure at Sun Siyam Resorts. She also introduced the Opera PMS system to all Sun Siyam Resorts in 2014-2017, achieved revenue targets from the MICE business on several occasions, and assisted in building a strong market base in India, China, and the UK with the local and regional sales team.

Jiji began her career as a customer care executive at BPL Mobile Communications in India in 1998. She later joined Rainbow Cruises as guest relations manager in 2000. Jiji is a graduate in commerce and has more than 22 years of combined experience in revenue and reservations in various sectors of the hospitality industry. She changed her career focus and field of employment in 2002 when she entered the hotel industry at the Travancore Heritage Resort as Executive Administrator and the Le Meridien Kovalam Beach Resort as Head of Reservations in 2003. She then advanced professionally to Senior Revenue Officer at the Le Meridien Dubai in 2005 and Assistant Central Reservations Manager at the Al Habtoor Hotels in Dubai in 2007. Jiji furthered her revenue-related talents at the Dhow Palace in Dubai in 2009, the Intercontinental the Lalith Goa Resort in India in 2010, and the Lalit Suri Hospitality Resorts in India in 2012. As the Cluster Revenue Manager for Olhuveli, Vilu Reef, Iru Fushi, and Pasikudah, she joined Sun Siyam Resorts in 2014. Since that time, Jiji has worked for Sun Siyam Resorts, rising through the ranks from Cluster Revenue Manager to Cluster Revenue Director, managing 06 resorts from the company's corporate headquarters.
