One&Only Reethi Rah's TAPASAKE Welcomes Michelin-Starred Chef Jaume for Exclusive Four-Hands Dinner
TAPASAKE Maldives is the signature destination dining restaurant at One&Only Reethi Rah and will welcome for the first time Michelin-starred Chef Jaume for an exclusive four-hands dinner with the resident Chef de Cuisine Ahmed Jameel. For the first time, One&Only Reethi Rah hosts the event at its iconic overwater TAPASAKE restaurant, famed for its wide ocean views, dramatic contemporary design, and culinary concept that elegantly pairs the precision of Japanese cuisine with the soulful flavors of the Mediterranean. Alongside the restaurant in the Maldives, TAPASAKE also operates internationally in Dubai, Mauritius, and Montenegro.
Chef Jaume of Mallorca is Head Chef at Béns d'Avall in Sóller, Spain. Since 2021, the restaurant has boasted one Michelin star and, additionally, it was awarded the Michelin Green Star in 2023. His dishes reflect deep inspiration from family heritage, Mallorcan landscapes, and a great deal of respect for nature. Instinctively sensitive to the harmony of his creations and with a keen attention to detail, Chef Jaume brings freshness from the season, sourced locally, right to refined dishes that evoke a strong sense of place and authenticity.
To create this special collaboration, Chef Jaume will join forces with the equally talented Chef Ahmed Jameel, a Maldivian-born chef with a culinary style centered on the mastery of both traditional and innovative Japanese techniques, to deliver a specially designed menu that will emphasize the essence of sophisticated craftsmanship, subtle artistry, and the smooth fusion of Japanese and Mediterranean styles. The Four-Hands Dinner is set to create a unique experience, as the peace of the Indian Ocean surrounds the proceedings, promising a promising meal that is intended to celebrate the purity of ingredients and the emotive satisfaction of flavours.
