The Standard Maldives Oktoberfest Activities
Oktoberfest will unite the whole resort with daily beer-related experiences, including food, drinks and sunset gatherings.
The bar hosts a daily Happy Hour as the sun sinks below the Indian Ocean offering refreshing beers with an island-inspired backdrop for guests to enjoy.
Guests can also indulge in specially curated Beer Pairing Lunches at Joos Café, where they can tuck into hearty dishes such as gourmet hot dogs, German bratwurst and shareable plates, perfect for families and friends.
“The celebrations are all about connection, exploration and creating a memorable experience for our guests,” said Nandakumar Dharuman, Director of Culinary at The Standard, Maldives.
Negroni Week arrives in the Maldives
Fans of cocktails can also get into the spirit of Negroni Week, September 21-27, when the classic Italian cocktail gets a creative twist, inspired by The Standard’s distinctive approach and design.
Guests can also take part in the resort’s regular social programme as part of the cocktail experience including the weekly Sip & Chat Cocktail Party every Monday.
Guests will be invited for the gathering with members of the resort’s management team for cocktails, conversation, surprises and lucky draws.
Beyond the Bar: Island Adventures
The September programme is not only about food and drinks, there is also the opportunity to experience island adventures.
Visitors will explore the region’s reefs of coral and marine life on snorkelling excursions, as well as discovering Hanifaru Bay.
You can also do manta ray excursions at the resort’s dive centre, where you can get up close and personal with the ocean’s gentle giants.

For those seeking a more private experience, The Floating Sunset Sparkle experience is the ideal choice.
The experience is set in the privacy of a villa pool, with house champagne and curated canapés, against the backdrop of the Maldivian sunset. The experience is ideal for couples and those looking to celebrate an occasion.
