With the addition of two DHC-6 Twin Otters to the largest seaplane fleet in the world, Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) hits a new high point. On September 12, 2023, the 63rd aircraft in TMA's remarkable fleet—the first of these—touched down at Velana International Airport. In the upcoming days, the 64th aircraft is likely to land in the Maldives.
TMA continues to set the bar for tourist transfer services in the nation because to its reputation for providing unmatched connections and amazing experiences throughout the beautiful Maldivian archipelago. TMA is dedicated to getting travelers headed for paradise to their ideal locations as the Maldives prepares for the approaching peak travel season, which will begin in October. The size of TMA's fleet is a monument to the airline's commitment to adaptably improving its capacity to easily fulfill the changing demands of the thriving tourism industry. This commitment has grown concurrently with the rise of resorts and the steadily rising demand for excellent travel experiences.
TMA has played a key role in revolutionizing travel experiences in the Maldives over the course of its three decades of operation. By establishing point-to-point connectivity in the Maldives, TMA helped spur the expansion of resort developments outside of the Male' atoll. As TMA marks its 30-year anniversary, the airline's history is intertwined with the trip that established the Maldives as a popular island getaway.
This coming October, TMA will begin operations in Laamu and Gaafu Alifu atoll, two southern atolls outside the present seaplane zone, broadening its comprehensive reach. Additionally, this development will make it possible for even more visitors to travel with unparalleled ease throughout the entire Maldivian paradise.
Trans Maldivian Airways' commitment to reliability, safety, and individualized service is at the heart of the business's success story and has established TMA as the go-to means of transportation for visitors experiencing the Maldives. Scheduled flights, private charters, photo flights, excursions, and even medical evacuation flights are just few of the services that TMA offers to meet the different needs of its prestigious clients. TMA is fully prepared to handle the constantly increasing needs of the travel and tourist sector while fostering trust and confidence among its customers who rely on TMA as their Gateway to Paradise!
