Plans for the next Fitr Eid celebrations were revealed by Oaga Art Resort. To commemorate this momentous milestone, the resort will organise a 2-day schedule of events and activities.
The celebrations will begin with Eid prayers in the morning, followed by an Eid breakfast and pleasantries provided by the resort's "Rahvehin" team. A modified version of Eid Maaloodh, which was once widely practised in the Maldives, will take place throughout the day on the island, during which poetry is recited to invoke good fortune. A lavish Eid buffet meal will be served in traditional Maldives fashion, and visitors may anticipate flash mobs shouting "Eid Bolah Gon!" all across the island.
The celebrations will continue with an Eid "hingaalun" or parade in which every Rahvehin at the resort will participate dressed in traditional garb and accompanied by traditional boduberu beats and "maali neshun," a traditional form of dance performed while painted and costumed as ghosts and spirits.
At the resort's beer and gin garden, Sobi Bar, a special cocktail party will be held afterward. The evening will come to a close with a "bodumas dhuvvun" exhibition and narrative set to "maali" and "boduberu" beats at Kaa Kada beach. The term "Bodumas," which is braided delicately out of coconut palm leaves during the Eid parade, literally means "huge fish." In the interim, diners can eat in the Malaafaiy Restaurant, the Rahvehin Restaurant, or the main restaurant Kaa Kada, both of which provide live performances by regional musicians. The resort's main pool and bar, Raa Baa, will host an Eid show with a variety of performances to keep guests entertained.
On the second day of Eid, traditional games like "Baibalaa," the Maldives version of the South Asian game Kabaddi, and "Faiga thalhaa," or dodgeball, will be played as part of the celebrations. Around 7:00 pm, an Eid show will put an end to the festivities.
To protect the security of its workers and visitors during these festivities, the resort has taken all essential steps. Please remember to adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines while taking part in the celebrations. The Rahvehin extend a warm invitation to all guests to attend their amazing Fitr Eid celebration at the Oaga Art Resort.
With inclusions like Creative Expression (art) classes, Take Notes (music) experiences, Thashibari In-Villa Dining to a floating meal, choices of excursions, motorised water-sports and many more, Oaga Art Resort's Greatest All-Inclusive plan is the best option for Maldives tourists looking for an all-inclusive vacation.
