Crown and Champa Resorts has appointed Chef Harshal Kumar

Crown and Champa Resorts has appointed Harshal Kumar as the Executive Chef for both Hurawalhi Island Resort and Kudadoo Maldives Private Island. Harshal's extensive culinary experience and innovative approach promise to enrich his new role with years of dedication and expertise.

Harshal started his journey by graduating from the School of Hotel Management at HTMI Switzerland New Delhi, setting the stage for a successful career. He developed his expertise at renowned places like The Claridges Hotels New Delhi and V Qutab Hotels & Resort, Mahindra resorts, demonstrating his culinary skills and dedication to quality.

Harshal has achieved many awards during his successful career. He won a gold medal in the South American Chef Competition and represented the Chef’s Culinary Forum of WACS. He has gained international recognition by working with famous chefs such as Luke Mangan and Dominik Kappelar. Harshal's career highlights include managing Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen pop-up restaurant at Amilla Fushi Maldives, where he enhanced culinary experiences. Due to his outstanding leadership and culinary skills, he was promoted to Cluster Executive Chef for Kudadoo and Hurawalhi Island Resort in 2023.

Harshal reflects on his culinary journey, stating that he stands in the heart of the kitchen, enveloped by the sounds of sizzling pans and the fragrant mingling of herbs and spices.
