InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort has unveiled a holiday season residency by one of the world's greatest culinary geniuses — Chef Tom Aikens — who will be sharing his two-Michelin-starred magic on the Indian Ocean from 26 December 2025 to 6 January 2026.
This bespoke partnership is a first for the luxury resort as it further cements its reputation for cuisine by attracting globally acclaimed expertise. Complemented by the resort's own staff of experienced chefs, Tom Aikens will helm The Lighthouse, InterContinental Maldives' award-winning and acclaimed overwater restaurant, for a bespoke series of fine dining experiences, complemented by masterclasses and an exclusive once-off private yacht dining experience.
The guest programme, open to all guests booking this festive season, is as follows:
28 & 29 December – Tasting Menu in The Lighthouse created by Chef Aikens, in celebration of his passion for seasonality and modern European flair
29 December – Interactive Cookery Class at The Collective where visitors can join Tom for a private hands-on experience to learn professional techniques and create one of his signature dishes
1 January – Private Yacht Dinner Experience for two people to ring in the New Year in style with a private dinner by Tom aboard the resort's luxury yacht, complete with specially designed menus star-gazing
2 & 3 January – The Lighthouse Tasting Menu - an all-new experience for returnees and newcomers
6 January – Island Buffet Dinner at Café Umi with Live Stations featuring a special dish prepared and served by Tom for the evening
