A Maldivian company-owned brand, the Coco Collection, invites its guests to be more conscious of what they do when staying in its two resorts Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu and Coco Bodu Hithi. Each element of the resorts' infrastructure is created with the purpose of conveying a deep reverence for nature and being guided by the philosophy of "Coco Cares." Every aspect of the resorts is made to create an eco-friendly experience from enjoying nature-based activities to having meals based on local products. All elements are aimed at creating the feeling of naturalness of the Maldives. It is crucial for Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu Resort because the establishment of the Marine Turtle Rescue Centre, which is one of the first veterinary-based centres of this kind in the Maldives, working together with the Olive Ridley Project, was conducted. In other words, the resort, being the founder of such a centre, promotes marine conservation and helps turtles heal, go back to their habitat and learn about the importance of this process. As for the results achieved during this period, it should be noted that 152 turtles have been treated with the rehabilitation success of 60%. This resort features its bars in a manner that supports the idea of sustainable luxury. There are eco-conscious cocktails created by the bar specialists using local organic fruits and vegetables available in the area. In addition, the resort introduced such a cocktail bar during one of the Earth Day celebrations, which means that the concept of sustainable luxury is implemented here innovatively, while it includes taste, design, and sustainability at the same time. It is important to understand that Coco Bodu Hithi takes sustainability very seriously when it comes to its operations. Everything from the use of herbs and fruits to preparation and presentation follows this concept.
