Niyama Private Islands Maldives reopens its Nest - Asian Restaurants Maldives, with remained jungle dining unbreakable with daring, new delicious flavors. The restaurant offers Asian cuisine in the middle of wild, original vegetation. The restaurant comprises tribal thatched-roof hut with a twisting staircase that ascends to an overpass, which lead to a dining stage that is hovering six meters in the air. Niyama Private Islands Maldives has been name among the Top Resorts in the Indian Ocean each year while 2017 in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.
The familiarity begins with a wander beside the oblique walkway through the jungle’s overrun vines. The magic of Nest then reveal itself under the covering of a banyan tree decades in the creation. On the ground floor, tribal, thatched-roof huts centre on the cabinet teppanyaki, where burning flavours await.
The unique design of Nest was conceived in 2013 by Poole Associates and backdrop designer Drew Anderson of TOPO Design. They envision a multi-level tree house linked by a maze of wooden walkways and bridge that appear then melt back into the foliage.
Once a decade of operation, Niyama unveil an enhanced location, with denser, more spectacular landscaping by the resort’s leader engineer Michael Selvin to enclose all table more effusive in nature and uniqueness. At night, the trees sparkle with hundreds of lights, and hint of red add a factor of the unusual, evocative of the neon glow of the street of Saigon, Tokyo or Bangkok.
The latest Executive Chef Thierry Vergnault has introduced a new menu featuring avant-garde flavors. Notable dishes include wagyu and sea urchin tataki from Japan, sizzling bo lok lak from Vietnam, and chili reef lobster from local waters in Singapore.
With an inexorable hunt of the novel and exciting, Chef Thierry’s creations merge the freshest, high-quality ingredient with surprising culinary technique and innovations. Hard-to-find Asian herbs and spice come from the island’s own backyard, which also notify the untried cocktail list by mentor Mathew Atkinson of Bruff food and drink.
