Suvasthi Gallery Presents “Silence & Noise” Art Exhibition by Mohamed Ikram at Oaga Art Resort

Located in the serene and picturesque Maldives, the Suvasthi Gallery invites visitors and art lovers to embark on a personal exploration of the captivating art exhibition "Silence & Noise" by local artist Mohamed Ikram, also known as Araakaa. Ikram, an artist from the Maldives, uses sketching and drawing as a way to explore his personal identity within the context of Maldivian society and the larger political landscape. The drawings on display were created between 2020 and 2022 and serve as a documentation of a significant period in both global and personal history. Having spent most of his life in Male' and it’s surrounding areas, Ikram's work is heavily influenced by the city and its social environment. The exhibition initially took place at 350 Gallery in Male' in June 2023.

During the same week, Suvasthi Gallery will be displaying a portion of the artwork collection found at the Veyoge Gallery Villas in the Oaga Art Resort. This gallery currently holds the largest collection of local art in any resort in the Maldives, with over 154 pieces created by more than 40 local artists.
