‘Give to Gain’: The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands celebrates women through shared experiences
To mark the occasion of International Women’s Day in 2026, The Ritz-Carlton Maldives, Fari Islands has organized a thoughtfully designed three-day experience called ‘Give to Gain’ from 7 to 9 March. The event is founded on the idea that giving results in gaining and brings women together through experiences of learning, creativity, and bonding.
The spirit of the event is collaboration. The Resort Ladies will be accompanied by women artists, practitioners, and creatives from across the Maldives, thus giving women a platform where their stories, knowledge, and experiences can be shared liberally. From wellness, food, sustainability, culture, and arts, ‘Give to Gain’ is designed to be an exclusive, meaningful, and community-driven experience.
The event begins on Saturday, 7 March, with a focus on wellness and sustainability. Guests are encouraged to start the day with a rejuvenating yoga session, followed by a practical pastry-making class with the resort’s culinary team. Children can engage in an eco-friendly candle-making workshop, while nature lovers can look forward to a coral restoration activity conducted by the resort’s marine team—each activity a reflection of the collective responsibility towards people and the planet.
International Women’s Day on Sunday, 8th March, celebrates creativity and connection through a series of activities. These include a ladies-only dive and sound healing, as well as an artistic tea with watercolor painting led by Maldivian artist Shimha Shakeeb. As the night unfolds, guests are invited to a Maldivian Night Dinner with live music, celebrating Maldivian culture, heritage, and female talent.
The activities culminate in a peaceful finale on Monday, 9th March, with a focus on nature, beauty, and craftsmanship. These include coral nursery snorkeling, botanical beauty treatments, floral design workshops, and an afternoon tea specially designed by the resort’s pastry chefs—a moment to pause and reflect on three days of shared inspiration.
Throughout Give to Gain, the spotlight is firmly on Maldivian women and their stories. This initiative brings the resort community and Maldivian creatives together, celebrating cultural pride and exploring new ways to express it. At its core, this initiative reminds us that giving, in the form of time, knowledge, and creativity, has lasting value throughout a lifetime for each of us, and for the world around us.
