2024 World Cleanup Day will take set on September 20, continuing its operation to unite volunteers universal in a huge attempt to relieve the earth of waste. The event, which began in 2018, has seen growing participation each day, with 19.1 million public across 211 countries and territories union in 2023. This year, the Maldives will hold its major event on the atoll of K. Dhiffushi Maldives.
World Cleanup Day harness the control of volunteers to clean up waste and mismanage waste from beaches, rivers, forests, and streets. The event emphasizes support and teamwork, bringing jointly citizens, business and government agencies.
In 2023, the Maldives saw a record-breaking membership of 22,000 people from across the country, with the major event held in Kaafu Atoll Himmafushi. This year’s event in K. Dhiffushi aim to make on that achievement, connecting even more participants and achieving superior contact.
Organizers encourage everybody to take part, highlighting that the event is not just regarding cleaning up the atmosphere but also about development a sense of community and common responsibility. Participants will unite millions of others around the globe, starting in New Zealand and ongoing in a 36-hour green gesture of cleanups until the event conclude in Hawaii.
