Avoca Inn

Rasdhoo is a small atoll just a handful of islands, one inhabited, and a dive site that has made the island famous among serious divers for a single specific reason: hammerhead sharks.

The Rasdhoo Atoll hammerhead dive happens at depth, early morning, at a site called Madivaru. Between December and April, hammerhead sharks aggregate in the channel currents in numbers that most divers describe as the most impressive shark encounter available in the Maldives. It requires an early departure (typically 5:30–6am), Advanced Open Water certification, and comfort with current diving. The reward is a school of hammerheads in open water, circling in the blue before the light gets strong.

Avoca Inn sits on Rasdhoo's inhabited island and gives guests a base for all of this.
