China Rises as Maldives' 4th Biggest Tourism Contributor

The fourth-largest source market for goods entering the Maldives is now China.

Prior to the Covid epidemic, China was the Maldives' greatest market. As a result of the government and the MMPRC's attempts to boost tourism, the number of visitors from China is currently rising quickly. At the end of January, the nation was ranked ninth, but by June, it had risen to sixth.

Since China opened its borders to travel, 67,822 tourists have visited the Maldives, according to information released by the Ministry of Tourism.
