These residencies, which range from sport to photography, are called COMO Journeys. They provide a chance to pick up a new talent or hone an existing one and are held in our exceptional settings.

We're holding health retreats in Perth and Phuket, yoga in Tuscany, a month-long kitesurfing residency with Youri Zoon, and a two-week training in underwater photography with Henley Spiers in 2023.

Dr. Daniel Cordaro, the founder of The Contentment Foundation, asks, "What does it mean to be content, to preserve and experience inner peace?"

This year, through the COMO Foundation, we're announcing a new collaboration with Daniel's organisation in Bhutan. This relationship aims to strengthen the community in Paro, which is close to our flagship hotel, and to empower local kids, teachers, and residents. We are inspired by difference at COMO Hotels and Resorts. The genuineness of the setting. The in-depth knowledge of a terroir, a culture, or a dish. We're building our first hotel in one of the most prestigious wine areas in France this spring, along with a brand-new farmhouse-hotel in the Tuscan hills, which will offer the luxury of the unrepeatable.

We cultivate locally whenever we can. Having edible gardens at more than half of our COMO properties helps our culinary teams by providing fresh produce. In order to build a circle of sustainability, we compost our garbage. This is only one small aspect of the transformative green agenda we'll be advancing in 2023 in partnership with Earth Check, a well-known certification organisation.

The Maldives, an island nation in the Indian Ocean with beautiful waters and white beaches, is home to the luxury resorts COMO Cocoa Island and COMO Maalifushi. Each of these resorts combines COMO Shambhala's therapeutic expertise, top-notch cuisine, flawless service, and the local flavour of the area.
