At the LUX* South Ari Atoll, a new record for the longest underwater kiss is set

The trendy LUX* South by international hospitality group The Lux Collective The official resort of the South African-based conservation couple, Beth Neale and Miles Cloutier, who set the world record for the longest underwater kiss to celebrate Valentine's Day 2023, is Ari Atoll in the Maldives.

Beth Neale, a heart mermaid, is a PADI advanced scuba diver, Pure Apnea Master freediving instructor, conservation filmmaker, and four-time South African freediving champion. She shattered the 2010 Italian world record of 3 minutes 24 seconds 34 frames with her husband's assistance, renowned filmmaker Miles Cloutier. They wish to inspire others to fall in love with the magic and wonders of the underwater world by publishing their love story from below the surface. The pair believes that oceans need all the love that they can get so that they may be conserved for future generations.

On 4th February 2023, at LUX* South Ari Atoll, one of the largest Maldives resorts, the record of the longest underwater kiss of 4 minutes and 6 seconds was shattered. The event was witnessed by Mr. Swapnil Dangarikar, the official adjudicator of Guinness World Records, who confirmed the feat. There was a champagne celebration on the island to celebrate the feat. The pair then had a special welcome from Trans Maldivian Airlines while they were flying back to their home country.
