Maldives Border Miles - 1.5M Members Milestone!

More than 1.5 million people are presently members of Maldives Border Miles. The program was launched as the first three-tier destination loyalty program of its kind and has quickly become incredibly well-known.

On September 27, 2020, World Tourism Day, Maldives Border Miles was formally introduced. It went into service on January 1, 2021. Maldives Immigration, the Ministry of Tourism, Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC), and Maldives Airports Company worked together to create the program. Since its establishment, the loyalty program has drawn a sizable number of travelers eager to experience the Maldives' natural beauty and kindness.

Members of the program are awarded points depending on a variety of criteria, such as the length of their stay, involvement in neighborhood events, visits for special occasions, and frequency of visits. There are three tiers available, and depending on the member's position, each tier provides different rewards. Members must reach a certain threshold of points to advance through the tiers, gaining access to a variety of advantages, services, and incentives that become more valuable as they do so.

The Abaarana tier, which is the highest level of the Maldives Border Miles program, offers members a number of noteworthy benefits, such as accelerated immigration processing at Maldives Airports Company Limited's VIP service lounge for arrival and departure. These benefits are designed to provide a smooth and opulent travel experience, boosting the appeal of the Maldives as a top vacation spot.
