Maldives Welcomes Over Half a Million Tourists in Current Year!

According to statistics made public by the tourism ministry, this year has already seen more than 500,000 visitors arrive in the Maldives.

According to data, there were 409,426 tourists who arrived in the Maldives as of March 26, 2022, out of a total of 1,675,303 tourists that arrived throughout the previous year. This year, 500,597 tourists have already arrived. This is an increase of 22.3%.

As of the 26th of March, Russia accounted for 60,590 arrivals (12.1 percent) from the country, making it the top source market for tourists to the Maldives this year. India is in second position with 52,734 arrivals (10.5 percent). Third place goes to the United Kingdom with 45,545 arrivals (9.1 percent).

There are now 60,382 beds available throughout 1,229 tourism facilities. Tourists spend 8.0 days on average in the Maldives.
