“Kula” translate to “color” in Dhivehi, the Maldivian language. Kula Kula, with its mischievous reappearance, signifies a profusion of colors. This vibrant festival promise an immersive experience into Maldivian culture, exciting with music, jazz, visual arts, and a flavor of the archipelago’s exclusive traditions. Structure on the establishment of last year’s achievement, the 2024 Kula Kula Festival promises an even richer incident.
A Journey during Festivities
The festival kicks off with the blissful Eid Al-Fitr celebration on April 10th. Savor the sizzling flavor of a Maldivian BBQ feast infused with international influence, create a delightful shared dining experience. Boost your Eid celebration with a visit to the exits Hedhikaa station, offering delicious Maldivian short eat and delicacy to enrich your palette.
Experience the soul-stirring sound of Maldivian local Boduberu rhythm, a Maali parade shared with a small recitation of Koadi, along with blaze dances during the day, offer an attractive journey through the Maldivian Village. The local band Sky Rock is set to liven up the period through sundown hour with surprise guests, making the show extra unique.

Witness the creative style of Maldivian artists during the festival. Be present for the book launch by local performer Baburu Akuru and a charming live wall fresco making by the local duo, Razzan & Hampu:
• Live Wall Mural by Razzan and Hampu – Mohamed Razzan Abdulla (Razzan) and Fathmath Hamna (Hampu) are a husband-wife artiste duo base in Maldives. With over 7 years of experience, Razzan and Hampu both specialize in visual art. They mainly work with acrylics and canvas when it comes to smaller-scale artwork, while for indoor and outdoor mural; they favor working with blend paint in intense, vibrant and wonderful colors. They are also very flexible when it come to digital art and collective, have finished limitless illustration for different resorts, corporation, NGOs, children’s books, and calendar to name a little.

The Kula Kula Art Festival on April 11th offers a cheerful marketplace featuring local artisans, live art demonstration, and charming performance. Join in a variety of games, make used art at the Coral Live Station, or find a color tattoo with a twist.
