Berlin's two Michelin-starred Restaurant Tim Raue will be brought to Soneva Fushi in the Maldives thanks to a partnership between Germany's best chef and entrepreneur Tim Raue and award-winning sustainable luxury resorts operator Soneva.From October 12, 2023, through January 24, 2024, he will be entertaining patrons at the resort's renowned gourmet dining zipline restaurant, Flying Sauces.
Berlin's Restaurant Tim Raue was founded in 2010 by chef Tim and his business partner Marie-Anne Wild. Since then, Gault&Millau has given the restaurant two Michelin stars and five black toques. It initially appeared on The World's 50 Best Restaurants list in 2012 and is presently ranked 40th. Chef Tim is also the first German chef to have been on the acclaimed Chef's Table Netflix series.
Strong flavors and a masterful balance of spiciness, sweetness, and acidity are hallmarks of Chef Tim's cooking, and his menus are always changing to provide diners with the ultimate culinary experience. Additionally, he has developed a new menu called Kolibri x Berlin that fuses traditional German dishes with his distinctive flavors. He is one of the few renowned German chefs who offer an all vegan cuisine. Dishes featuring Asian flavors, German interpretations, and Maldivian ingredients will all be available at Flying Sauces.

The first fine dining zipline experience with an open treetop kitchen, Flying Sauces will debut in 2021 and be located 12 meters above the earth. A 200-meter zipline course takes visitors to an elevated dining platform with breathtaking views of the island's lush greenery and glistening turquoise ocean once they have been safely buckled into safety belts. Enjoy the unique dish created by chef Tim while seated, together with a selection of more than 9,000 wines from Soneva Fushi's vast wine collection.
