The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort has announced the addition of two time-limited specials in gastronomy and the art of drinking to St. Regis' "The House of Celebration" project, a collection of unique experiences that transform traditional rituals into modern traditions. The House of Celebration invites visitors to reenact the great and legendary celebrations of the Astors, the illustrious brand's founders who were known for their lavish get-togethers. Similar to haute couture fashion runways, The House of Celebration adopts a new theme for each of the four seasons, providing one-of-a-kind cultural, fashionable, and eating experiences for a short period of time. These encounters showcase St. Regis' cherished traditions and create fresh ones in some of the most spectacular settings in the Asia Pacific region, like the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli.
Beginning this summer, T.Pan, a brand-new Asian speciality restaurant, will introduce its "Celebration of Place" matching menu, which will feature dishes made with local ingredients. T.Pan is the finest location in the Maldives. The new T.Pan set dinner menu, which serves Kaiseki cuisine prepared in the Japanese style, has a starting price of USD $350++ and a beverage pairing option for USD $220++. An Osaka Nights "Otoshi" appetizer made of Roku gin, Aperol, Antica Formula vermouth, and Ume liqueur opens the presentation.
The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli will debut a New York-inspired cocktail mixed with local ingredients at The Whale Bar to enhance the renowned bar programming experience, paying respect to the St. Regis New York's renowned King Cole Bar's concentration on the art of drinking. The Violet Hour is a dedicated ritual to celebrate the end of the day and the beginning of the evening, when the sky is purple and great bartenders can be seen pouring martinis. It currently includes a variety of 40 recipes inspired by five New York districts. A special cocktail called the Tropical Tuna Twist, created by the five-star resort to highlight the bright flavors of the archipelago, has also been made available for a limited time. The ideal harmony of Tuna Vermouth, London Dry Gin, and citrus notes enhances the cooling combination of Clear Tomato Water infused with Maldivian Chili and Curry Leaves. This drink is a taste of paradise not to be missed. It comes with a side of homemade tuna rice crackers and is topped with a lovely celery foam.
According to Vincent Pauchon, general manager of The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, "At the St. Regis Maldives, we make the everyday exquisite and welcome guests into our home to experience the extraordinary in an unmatched setting." "The Astor family's tradition and spirit continue the St. Regis legacy as the first House of Celebration. We are happy to bring our modern luminaries, tastemakers, and international influencers to this new, specially created programs as we continue to be the greatest luxury resort in the Maldives.
Between July 5 and August 31, 2023, T.Pan will serve its seasonal Celebration of Place cuisine, while The Whale Bar will serve its Tropical Tuna Twist cocktail.
