Exclusive Preview: Pathways Sequel Revealed by Patina Maldives at Fari Islands

From sophisticated West Coast streetwear to cutting-edge Kentish skincare, ocean art activism to transformative healing, Patina Maldives has unveiled the stellar ensemble cast of collaborators that will headline Cosmopolitan Ocean: the second installment of its renowned Pathways series, taking place from October 26 to 29 in 2023.

Following the success of the series' debut, Experience as Healing, in June, Cosmopolitan Ocean brings the worlds of fashion, art, and healing together for a four-day cross-cultural festival that puts the ocean center stage, recognizing and celebrating the true depth of its historic role in the development of today's interconnected human culture. Welsh electronic musician Kelly Lee Owens will soundtrack the introduction of a custom Cosmopolitan Ocean fragrance from Margate's natural skincare and wild fragrance masters, Haeckels, as part of an extrasensory opening ceremony.

Patina's highly awaited debut clothing collaboration with LA-based streetwear brand Stampd, a capsule collection that reimagines the function of the ocean in the cycle of life, will be released. Pam Longobardi, an activist and the Oceanic Society's Artist-in-Nature, will add a sizable installation addressing the urgent problem of ocean plastics to the island's noteworthy permanent collection, and Avery Whitmore, a healing arts practitioner and alumnus of Experience as Healing, will repeat his enthusiastically acclaimed sound healing, breathwork, and meditation residency.

The Patina Maldives resort's newest distinctive series of events, Pathways, aims to inspire and cultivate long-lasting personal transformations, establish new lifestyle habits, and give guests' lives more depth and purpose. The first episode of the series, Experience as Healing, aired in June. It was an energizing weekend of wellness that included ancient spiritual traditions, positive drinking, and the rapidly advancing fields of biohacking. A two-day program encouraging seasoned yogis and curious dabblers alike to unfold, unfurl, and open the hidden doors within was hosted by leaders in psychosocial health, nutritional science, and esoteric practices, such as Claire Warner, cofounder of the company corn, Tony Estrella, a digital wellness expert, and the aforementioned Avery Whitmore.
