Get ready to excite your taste buds because Patina Maldives has revealed that Michelin Star-winning Chef Kazuo Harada will be hosting an exclusive dining event at K?EN from March 12 to 16, 2024. Chef Kazuo Harada, known for his skillful blend of Japanese and Brazilian culinary styles, will showcase his exceptional talents at Patina Maldives.
Chef Kazuo, with a strong culinary heritage from his family in São Paulo's renowned Liberdade district, invites guests to a one-of-a-kind culinary experience. Throughout his residency at K?EN, Chef Kazuo will curate a special series of omakase dinners, offering patrons the chance to savor the perfect blend of Japanese tradition and Brazilian creativity in each carefully crafted dish. He also ventures into local markets to discover inspiration from native ingredients, crafting a menu that is truly distinctive to his time at the restaurant.
Born to a Japanese father and a Brazilian mother, Chef Kazuo developed a love for cooking from his grandfather, who managed a Japanese restaurant in Liberdade. He started his culinary career at the renowned Grand Hyatt in São Paulo, and then gained valuable experience in Japan and Dubai. Chef Kazuo was recently recognized as the Chef of the Year 2023/2024 by Veja Comer & Beber, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the culinary world.
Chef Kazuo Harada joins a distinguished group of culinary experts at Patina Maldives, alongside the well-known Michelin-starred chef Bo Bech. Chef Bech pleased guests during his visit in January and is set to make a comeback in September to highlight Nordic culinary traditions at K?EN. Together, these culinary masters represent top-notch quality, ensuring guests a remarkable dining experience that goes beyond limits and honors the skill of worldwide cuisine.
