The morning offshore window closes fast. The best sessions at Coke's happen 6:30–9am before the sea breeze arrives. Island Break's location relative to the break affects how quickly you can be in the water. Ask about walking distance to the paddle-out point.
Swell forecasting changes the trip. Check Surfline or Windguru nightly. A 3–5ft SW swell arriving Thursday means being on the island Wednesday night. Guests who track forecasts get significantly more good water than those who don't.
Crowd dynamics on Coke's vary by season. June–September is busy. October and April are less crowded with still-usable swell. If crowd avoidance matters, the shoulder months produce better lineups.
