The Travelife is an industry-led program where it focuses not only on social responsibility but also on environmental management that boosts the promotion of sustainable practices amongst tour operators and accommodations. This award has always been a catalyst for the consistent pursuit of CSR goals such as rich biodiversity, monitoring the marine ecosystem, energy and water saving practices, education and employment initiatives in collaboration with local community. Part of our approach is in alignment with the strategic direction that Travelife has set up regarding employee welfare by helping them earn fair wages, good working conditions, as well as opportunities for professional growth with standards of high health and safety. These initiatives' core is found at the heart of the island in the Eco Centre at Kuramathi, operated by an energetic team that encompasses a Sustainability Manager, Horticulturist, and Eco Centre Coordinator. Coupled with the environment committee at the resort, which are represented by members from each operational section, this team explores practices that support environmental, social, and economic sustainability.
